What I Can Do For You

Special Educational Advocacy is an action taken on behalf of a child needing services associated with special education. As your advocate, I work for you, not the school district. I can help with the IEP process by meeting with you and your child, reviewing records, getting the facts, untangling and cutting through the red tape, attending meetings and assist in developing a plan that is going to address your child's educational needs of appropriate schooling, accommodations and placement in the following areas:

    • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
    • Transition (Birth to Age 3)
    • Transition (Age 15-22)
    • Educational Issues
    • Emotional and Behavioral Issues
    • Learning Disabilities
    • Physical Disabilities
    • Medically Complex

Very often by the time a parent reaches out for the help of a Special Education Parent Advocate they are not only exhausted and overwhelmed, but likely angry and resentful. Whether you are that parent, or the parent of a child transitioning from Early Intervention services, a parent of a child who is graduating, aging out (22) of the school district, or just looking for a second pair of eyes to review your child's IEP; working with a parent advocate is an investment that can stop the struggle in school, and often be the first step towards...'cultivating partnership through a TEAM approach'
ultimately resulting in making school a place for your child to grow and be happy.
